Gul'dan is a central antagonist within the World of Warcraft universe. A power-hungry orcish shaman, he first appeared in the game Warcraft: Orcs & Humans (1994).
Driven by an insatiable thirst for power, Gul'dan betrayed his shamanistic traditions, embracing demonic magic and founding the Shadow Council. This organization secretly controlled the orcish Horde and led them to corruption under the influence of the Burning Legion.
His actions directly led to the Horde's invasion of Azeroth and the subsequent wars between orcs and humans. Gul'dan's pursuit of power through demonic pacts ultimately consumed him, leading to his demise within the Tomb of Sargeras.
Despite his death, his legacy continued to haunt Azeroth, as his actions had far-reaching and devastating consequences for both orcs and humans.
